
A.Carlo Guadagno
BS, DC,CCSP
Although born in
Providence, Rhode Island, Dr. Guadagno has lived in Colombia,Venezuela,
and Italy.
This background has lent itself to treating
patients from all over the world for various health care concerns.
He attended the University of Miami where he earned his B.S.
degree in 1984. After discovering Chiropractic from treatment to a
wrestling injury, he soon realized this was also his calling.
He
enrolled at the " fountainhead of Chiropractic", Palmer College of
Chiropractic, in Davenport, Iowa, where he attained a D.C. Degree
(Doctor of Chiropractic). He has attained the CCSP designation
(Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician) by the ACBSP (American
Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians).
Since graduation in 1988, he has been in private
practice in Miami and today owns West Kendall Chiropractic.
Professionally,
he has been involved with his local, state and National organizations
for many years.
Has served on the
Board of Directors for the Dade County Chiropractic Society, is presently the Director for Dade County
for the Florida Chiropractic Association.
He also serves as President for the Council
on Sports Injuries, Rehabilitation and Physical Fitness of the Florida
Chiropractic Association (FCA).
He serves on the executive board of
the American
Chiropractic Association's Sports Injuries Council. Within this organization
he has served athletes, not only locally but also internationally such
as the 2004 Mexico City Panamerican Championships for Sambo (A form of
mixed martial arts). The Central-American and Caribbean Games of 2006
held in Cartagena ,Colombia where he served as Medical director for
Chiropractic. He has lectured internationally such as for the Bolivarian
games in Colombia and FIFA's Sports Medicine Congress in Costa Rica.
He
was a member of the medical staff for the 2008 Track and Field Olympic
Trials held in Eugene, Oregon.
He served as Medical director for
the USA Gold Cup CONCACAF Miami Venue.
Dr Guadagno had the privilege of treating Americas elite athletes at the 2010 USA outdoor track and field championships held at Drake stadium in Des Moines Iowa.
In 2010 he served as the medical director for the AVP Professional Beach Volleyball event in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida which featured Beijing gold medalist Phil Dalhausser, Todd Rogers, and Misty May-Treanor.
